A new logo for the UK

Posted on 27/11/2006 at 07:41 in motors

Well, not a new logo exactly cos its been about since the 60's.

The Prisoner

If you would like a nostalgic see and hear of the opening theme of the programme then click on the link below but Volume UP.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22T9na7GDFw&eurl=

The car is one of the most famous in the world and has it's own website http://www.kar120c.net/

The programme spawned from a previous Patrick McGoohan series called Danger Man

The opening credits and theme tune for this are below.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSVKSH1JhS4

Jools Holland does a fantastic rendition of this on one of his albums (I'll find out and post later).

So back to the UK logo.....................

If this is going to happen on the Streets of London.............

Then we'll need some of these.............

Cos polonium is an alpha emitter and the emissions can be stopped by a single leaf of tinfoil............you could put the beans in the post or carry through in an airport and they wouldn't get detected. Polonium is in the same family as Plutonium.

This is how they are reporting the matter in Moscow.........

http://www.mosnews.com/

If anyone watched the film on a previous post about what goes on inside a cell then you can understand how the guy died. All the atoms in the cell are being bombarded with particles.

An analogy would be breaking off a set of pool balls but the white ball just keeps on going smashing into balls(atoms). Our Russian resident literally got smashed to pieces from the inside.

Here's the wikipedia link to Polonium

Thanks to my mate Simon for the physics background

England Vs South Africa at Twickenham

Yesterday I went to Twickenham to see England play South Africa.

It was one of these type of days............

The game ended like this for Captain Martin Corry

due to England losing the game.

I suspect coach 'Robinson' will lose his job by tomorrow night.

What goes on inside a single human cell

This is a link to an incredible piece of work undertaken by Harvards biology faculty and a 3D film animation crew.

Click on the link and scroll down to the 'Watch the video' prompt.

Try it in low resolution. If you haven't got Flash 8 player you can download it from the same place.

http://www.studiodaily.com/main/technique/tprojects/6850.html

So if you scan a cell through an electron microscope and render the 3D data and then you look at the Hubble site showing images of immense galaxies (see link below) there's a spooky similarity between the images.

Find your latitude and longitude

Posted on 23/11/2006 at 08:22 in planet

Here's a bit of fun.........

click on the link...........use the hand symbol cursor and slide it as far as possible to minus on the slide.

You should have a map of the planet.

Put the hand over your area and then move the slide up towards positive.

You can switch from map to satellite image. Wherever you click you will get your coordinates expressed as latitude and longitude. Imagine what the world would be like today if say Christopher Columbus had one of these in his Captains locker! Those guys couldn't even tell the time in those days but still managed to get about the planet...........and get home.

here's the link.........
