Injury lawyerss have commented on the findings by a travel firm looking at the drunken antics of travellers. The study showed that over 70% of people were unaware that their travel insurance policy is unlikely to cover them in the event of a drunken accident while away on holiday. It appears that it is too little too late, when travellers realise that their claims have become invalidated due to their drunkenness, when they try to claim after their holiday. The most common holiday claims were 32% loosing personal items, 28% injuring themselves through a drunken accident, 19% injured in a fight and 9-12% of medical fees due to dehydration and alcohol poisoning.
