Angry protesters have argued against a barrier imposed across an entrance to a beach, after a spate of compensation claims ruffled the feathers of the local council. Sefton council officials said claims for compensation were lodged by people who said their cars had been damaged by potholes. The only way they could stop the claims from coming was to impose the barrier across an entrance to Southport Beach so as to prevent people from parking cars there. I can see their point.
