Work accident claims are on the up, due to lack of health and safety and no risk assessment. I am not surprised that such accidents have increased, because it is thought that injuries rise during a recession. Despite ongoing advice from the HSE, the number of fatalities as a result of work injuries during 2008-2009 has remained in level with the same figures of the previous year. According to recent figures from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), 22 workers in the North West died during 2008- 2009 as a result of a work accident. Oh dear!
